Yogi Adityanath does a Har Har Gange, takes dip during Kumbh Mela at Prayagraj

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took a dip in the Ganga at the ongoing Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj today. He was accompanied by some of his cabinet ministers.

Earlier in the day, the Uttar Pradesh government also held a special cabinet meeting in Prayagraj. The cabinet meeting was unique because this was the first time that Yogi Adityanath government held a cabinet meeting outside Lucknow.

The Kumbh Mela is being organised at a massive scale in Prayagraj (Allahabad). The Uttar Pradesh government claims that this time it has ensured that visitors do not face inconvenience due to lack of basic facilities. A massive security deployment is also in place to prevent any untoward incident.

In the Cabinet meeting held today, the Yogi Adityanath government decided to exepmt Vicky Koushal starrer Bollywood film ‘Uri’ from taxes in the state. The movie is based on the surgical strikes carried out by the Indian Army on terror launchpads across the Line of Control.

Yogi Adityanath also welcomed the central governmnet’s plea in the Supreme Court where it has sought the Supreme Court’s permisssion to return the 67 acre of acquired land around the disputed Ram Janmbhoomi-Babri Masjid site in Ayodhya to its original owners.

“We welcome this initiative of the central government. We should get permission to start work on the undisputed piece of land,” Yogi Adityanath said in Praygraj.
